I once joked with someone that my life philosophy is this: Everything tastes better between bread.  

I am a huge fan of sandwiches. I absolutely adore them. I'll happily eat one for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and have been known to do just that). Some days I even have a small sandwich as a snack!  

Here's a little sampling of some of the sandwiches I've consumed recently.

First up, a BBLTA.

This spin on the regular old BLT is really something special. I got the idea from a lovely blog called For the Love of Cooking. I changed up the original recipe just a bit.

The BBLTA consists of Bacon (I used turkey bacon), Blue Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, and Avocado on toasted whole wheat bread. The blue cheese totally makes the sandwich! And since it's a very strong cheese, you only need a small sprinkling to get a ton of flavor.

Such a quick, easy, delicious meal!

Avocado made another appearance in this lovely sammie.
Toasted whole wheat bread with avocado, tomato, tuna, and a sprinkling of salt and pepper. A must-try combination!

I don't always stick to traditional bread slices. I like to mix it up, like with this pita pocket sandwich.This was GOOD. I made chicken salad using leftover rotisserie chicken, plain Greek yogurt, a touch of Dijon mustard, sliced grapes, and sliced almonds.

Yuck! almond what a freak!
